I’m not sure why this idiotic state worker left enough clues to identify him/her as a state worker.

Wow, talk about shameless

During the April 3 shootings in Binghamton, New York, supervisors at the Department of Social Services did not permit their employees to leave the building (for obvious safety reasons, even though the shootings were in a different building) One of the employees, an idiot named James Kauchis, filed a formal grievance claiming that he should be paid for the lunch hour because he was not allowed to leave the building.

With thirteen dead (not including the shooter, who is not a victim) and four wounded, the first thing this asshole thinks of is being paid for being deprived of his lunch hour.  Maybe this government worker should get a new job at one of the bailed-out financial institution, where someone with his sense of priorities would fit in well.

What a gold digger

A 36-year old Swedish countess is divorcing her husband. Their prenuptial agreement states that she would receive $43 million if they divorced. She is claiming that is not enough, because at her current spending rate of $53,800 per week, that money would not last her for the rest of her life.

How do you spend $53,800 per week? Well,  this article states:

Her weekly expenses also include $700 for limousine service, $4,500 for clothes, $1,000 for hair and skin treatments, $1,500 for restaurants and entertainment, and $8,000 for travel.

Amazing. One would think that a former investment banker would be smarter than that. Or maybe she used to work for AIG or Bank of America???

Popcorn man

Sacramento police recently arrested a man for burglary after they found a trail of popcorn kernels leading from the store he burglarized to his apartment.

I wonder if this idiot is related to the moron in Fresno who was arrested after leaving a trail of teriyaki chicken from the car he burglarized to his apartment. If not, maybe he is related to the idiots in Illinois (none of whom are the soon to be ex-governor) who robbed a pizza delivery person but left snow tracks for the police to track.

Here we go I am a caltrans worker I knew this was comming , furloughs and layoffs . and if you didnt you must be smoking something . I for one have already lined up a new job , those who have skills as I do wont worry those who dont , will . Idiotic newspaper writers and editors

Prosecutors recently blew an informant’s cover by having him testify in open court, where he was recognized by the defendant and some of the spectators.

The Sacramento Bee published an article today with the headline “Sacramento trial blows the cover of an informant” that gave all the details, but published his name! If you want to talk about blowing the informant’s cover, the Bee is the primary culprit. There were probably under a hundred people who knew his name before this article was published, but since it is now on the Internet, there could be tens of thousands of people who know his name (though 99% of those people are not likely to care.) The headline should be changed to “Sacramento Bee blows the cover of an informant.”

While the paper has the right to publish this information, they need to consider the effect that this will have on his life. It is likely that other gangs will try to have him eliminated (even though he is being relocated.) They should not be publishing information that can put someone’s life in jeopardy unless it is crucial for the public to know, which is certainly not the case here.  This newspaper ironically has the problem that they do not give vital information (the race of the suspect) in crime cases unless it is a Caucasian.

Idiotic pizza thieves

Four teenagers in Illinois were arrested for robbing a pizza delivery person because the police followed their snow tracks nearby. Hello, McFly! Anybody home?  Well, at least they’re not as dumb as the soon-to-be-ex governor of Illinois, but I wonder if they are related to this idiot in Fresno who got arrested because he left a trail of rice right to his apartment.

California’s idiotic legislators

In California, it is illegal for businesses to charge  a fee to use a credit card (but of course governments are exempt), but it is legal to offer a discount for payment by any other means. California Civil Code Section 1748.1 states:

(a) No retailer in any sales, service, or lease transaction
with a consumer may impose a surcharge on a cardholder who elects to
use a credit card in lieu of payment by cash, check, or similar
means. A retailer may, however, offer discounts for the purpose of
inducing payment by cash, check, or other means not involving the use
of a credit card, provided that the discount is offered to all
prospective buyers.

What the heck is the difference between the surcharge on credit cards and a discount on other means of payment? Why can’t legislators write laws that make sense???

Misadventures of a cell phone

In July, Bill Clinton Phillip Sherman of Arkansas  left his cell phone filled with nude pictures of his wife at McDonald’s. Some enterprising person posted the photos online. Sherman is now suing the store manager, franchise owner, and the corporation for $3 million.

While it is obviously true that the McDonald’s employees totally screwed up, what kind of idiot forgets his cell phone full of nude pictures? One might become a cynic and think that this was a scheme to collect millions of dollars…
