UC Davis baseball team eliminated from NCAA Baseball Tournament

UC Davis couldn’t hold a 4-3 in the 9th inning against Stanford, and lost 8-4, eliminating them from the NCAA Baseball Tournament in their first year as a Division I member.

UC Davis baseball loses to Pepperdine in NCAA Baseball Tournament

In the Stanford Regional, #4 seed UC Davis lost to #2 seed Pepperdine 7-4. They will now play Stanford (whom they defeated 4-2 in their first game) in an elimination game.

UC Davis baseball team in NCAA baseball tournament

In its first year of eligibility (because UCD just completed the four year transition period required for universities moving up from Division II), the baseball team was selected to play in the College World Series, and will play Stanford, a team Davis is quite capable of beating.
