How I know it’s summer weather

One guy at work wore shorts and sandals today… (actually, I was wrong about there only being one guy doing that; another guy also did that today.)

Now that it’s getting to be hot again (over 90 degrees), I’ve always wondered why women at my workplace (governmental agency, rather casual dress code) can wear flip-flops, sleeveless tops, and leg-baring pants/skorts/skirts/dresses while men have to wear shoes, shirts with sleeves, and long pants. (We do have a guy who wears shorts and sandals, but no other men do this.)
