Are we supposed to feel sorry for Diddy’s gasoline woes?

If you fly American Airlines, you may be seeing rapper Diddy soon (though he will presumably be flying first class…)

Food for thought on gas prices

Senator John Warner (R-Virginia) has asked the Energy Department to investigate what speed limit would optimize efficiency. Given that not very many people drive the speed limit, I’m not sure how effective this would be. (This is an improvement from just last year, when almost nobody drove at the speed limit.)

I wonder if a much more draconian solution might be in order. Perhaps engines should be designed so that the car cannot exceed, say, 75 miles per hour.  Another option would be gas rationing (as in the 1970s), but I think the hard speed limit would be preferable to rationing gasoline, since some people really need to drive a lot.

I hate to impose more government regulations, but it appears that the days of sub-$4.00 gasoline are over, and that the government will have to take some drastic measures to prevent the price of gasoline from skyrocketing to $10 per gallon.

If you have an opinion, please comment (even if you think this is the worst idea in the history of the country.) Thanks!

From full wallet/empty gas tank to full gas tank/empty wallet

About time to fill my gas tank/empty my wallet… at least the price doesn’t seem to have increased in the last several days.

This is NOT the way to save money on gas

A Vermont couple living in an apartment complex decided to store 45 gallons of gas in plastic jugs… guess what happened (you only get one guess.) Fortunately, no one was injured.  Can someone say future Darwin Award “winner?”

Yet another upward trend in gas prices

On the way from work every day, I pass by a Chevrons station and I’ve been tracking the price of gas for the last few days.

5/29 $4.299
5/30 $4.359
5/31 $4.399
6/2 $4.399
6/3 $4.499

WTF will this insanity end?

Holy #$%^

Regular gas is $4.46 at a Shell station near my house. The last time I checked (though that was admittedly about a week ago) it was $4.25!

Gas prices #2

I hope they learned their lesson regarding “sub-prime” loans…

Gas prices

I don’t think this is what President Bush had in mind when he decided to issue “economic stimulus” checks…
