Give up coffee for green tea?

Soon after I made this post regarding coffee drinking, I read a discussion on the topic of cutting caffeine use, and someone suggested drinking green tea as a substitute. Then I received a message from someone who read that post, also suggesting that I drink more green tea for my health.

I’ll definitely have to look into this.

  1. Tea is an amazing product! Green tea definitely has a lot of health benefits. My advice… there are a variety of green teas out there. Don’t be afraid to venture out and sample different types for example… my favorite Green Tea is Genmaicha it has a nuttier more robust flavor. There are other green teas that have a lighter taste. It really depends if you want a more robust tea tast or not. Some companies you can search for green tea include: Dragonwater, Harney and Sons, Teavana, and Golden Moon. Usually they sell samples so you can try a variety of teas to determine your favorite.

I hope to hear more about your green tea journey. Happy Tea Drinking!

  2. Thanks for the tips!

  3. Green tea still contains caffeine (although much less than coffee). So if you are planning on cuting all the caffeine out … green tea is not the answer

decaf green tea has lost most or all of the good and healthy properties while they were removing the caffeine.

but the caffeine in green tea is actually good for you, and the catechins also counteract the caffeine, stopping the jitters and most side effects of caffeine.

Good luck with the switch. I would recommend it

    Thanks for the info.
