Random coincidence

Current license plates in California for cars (as opposed to trucks) are in the format 1ABC234.  I just saw the license plate which is almost exactly identical to my mom’s, that is it would be 1ABC235. That’s the first time I’ve seen a license plate where the last digit was one off of a license plate that I recognize.
