Idiot of the day

I can’t believe that we frequently hear about idiots who leave kids in the car. The mother needs to have her tubes tied so she can’t have any more children. (Fixing the boyfriend would also be a good idea.)

Gilbert and Sullivan – H.M.S. Pinafore

I went to see the Carl Rosa Opera Company production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore at the Mondavi Center at UC Davis this afternoon. This is the first time I have ever seen Gilbert and Sullivan, and I really enjoyed it.

Fresno as speed trap

According to this article, the Fresno police department is setting all sorts of speed traps.

We have some guests coming over from the Bay Area who were supposed to be here at 10 am. It is now 11 am and they haven’t called (and I called their cell phone but it went straight to voice mail)… this is very annoying.
